PANHANDLE PC
Panhandle PC offers optional SMS service updates for customers with an active or recent computer, phone, tablet, or other device repair. SMS consent is voluntary and is not required to receive service.
During electronic service check-in, the customer enters a mobile phone number and is presented with a separate SMS consent checkbox. The checkbox is unchecked by default, and the customer may complete check-in without selecting it.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase or service.

A customer may also ask a Panhandle PC employee to enable service-related SMS updates. Before recording consent, the employee provides the following disclosure:
“Panhandle PC can send you service-related text messages about your repair, including estimates and approval requests, parts updates, repair-status updates, pickup notifications, and customer service follow-up. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent is not required to receive service. Would you like to opt in?”
The employee records SMS authorization only after the customer gives an affirmative response.
Consent records
Panhandle PC records the customer, mobile number, consent source, disclosure, employee action when applicable, and timestamp. Customer contact information imported from another system is not treated as SMS consent.
